The Heart Behind One Pointe

I have a few philosophies that make this little business of mine run. At the heart of it all, my job is to deliver memories wrapped up in a neat little bow. (And yes, literally—I’ll wrap your photos in a bow, too.) If these photographs put a smile on your face, I’ve got one on mine, too.

Sunshine:

I feel incredibly lucky to hold a camera in my hands and have the opportunity to capture the moments that matter to you. I think it changes the way I see the world.

When I have my camera in hand, I’m actively looking for the good. Sometimes that means noticing the tiniest detail that radiates pure joy. Other times, it means stepping back and taking in the big picture, where every little detail comes together in harmony.

The “good” I’m looking for is your vision. It’s the things that make you laugh, the details you might otherwise overlook, the way you naturally show up, and the pieces of your story that make it uniquely yours. My approach is intentional, but always observant—allowing me to create photographs that feel authentic to you rather than simply posed for you.

The golden rule around here is simple: find the good, and the sunshine will follow.

Kindness:

I believe everything and everyone deserves kindness.

I promise to bring kindness into our time together, and I promise to bring that same kindness to your photographs. I’ll treat your images with the care and respect I would want someone to give my own.

These photographs hold something precious. They hold people, places, seasons of life, and little moments that you may not realize are important until years down the road. They deserve to be handled with care and created with intention, so they can continue to feel just as meaningful long after the moment has passed.

This is One Pointe in a nutshell.

Growing up, my family had one of those giant plastic storage boxes filled with printed photographs, tucked away in an old office space. I could spend hours sitting there flipping through them.

I didn’t just look at the photographs. I wondered about everything surrounding them. What happened that day? What were they laughing about? Where were they going? Who took the picture? What did that moment feel like?

One photograph could make me remember an entire story—or make me imagine one I had never been there to experience.

That is what One Pointe, One Moment, Endless Memories means to me.

You might have one photograph to look back on years from now, but in that one photograph lives an entire story. A feeling. A season of life. A person you love. A moment you didn't know you'd want to remember forever.

That is the gift I want to give you.
